Here are my qualifications for writing this blog:
What I am not:
- I am not handsome
- I am not athletic
- I am not coordinated
- I am not smart
- I am not charming
- I am not funny
- I am not clever
- I am not talented
- I am not assertive
- I am not confident
- I am not perceptive (can’t see things the way they really are)
- I am not insightful
- I am not motivated
- I am not persistent
- I am not strategic
- I am not driven
- I am not decisive
- I am not spontaneous
- I am not successful
- I am not romantic
- I am not fast (at doing anything)
- I am not good at saying the right thing
- I am not good in groups
- I am not good with kids
- I am not good at remembering things
- I am not good at accepting other people’s success
- I am not good at separating setbacks from personal failures.
- I am not good with conflict (I hate conflict and will do anything to avoid it)
- I am not good with focusing on the positive (see problems, not opportunities)
- I am not good at understanding or sharing my feelings
- I am not good at sticking to a direction (I bounce around or give up easily)
- I am not good at accepting where I am in life and the decisions I have made.
- I am not satisfied with who I am
- I am not happy
I’ll add to this list as I come across any more shortcomings. Oh yeah, that reminds me, I’m short too.
So now you may ask: Do I have a list of what I’m good at? Do I only focus on the negative and don’t even look for the positive? Well, yes, I do only focus on the negative. I even have that in my list above.
But just to be fair, I did create a list of what I am good at. Here it is:
